Sussex filmmakers Matthew and Michael Rowney have added Hugh Bonneville to the cast of their latest project.
He will lend his vocal talents to ‘Odilo Fabian or (The Possibility of Impossible Dreams)’, a short film due to be released later this year.
Bonneville, who has recently starred in ‘Downton Abbey’ and the ‘Paddington’ franchise, will play the Narrator in ‘Odilo Fabian‘.
The all-star cast already includes Kacey Ainsworth (Call The Midwife) and Isabelle Allen (Netflix’s Safe and Les Miserables). Louisa Connolly-Burnham (Wolfblood) and Luke Brandon-field (American Poltergeist) also have starring roles.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hugh on board ‘Odilo Fabian’,” said Matthew Rowney, who directed the film. “We have always been huge fans of his work and his distinctive voice is the perfect fit for our project. ‘Odilo Fabian’ has a really important message about hope and optimism, and there’s no doubt Hugh’s talent will lend the story the authority we were looking for.”
Hugh Bonneville added: “I was drawn to this intimate yet ambitious project because of its touching story, which is laced with warmth and humour.”
‘Odilo Fabian’ tells the story of an optimist on the outskirts of a town called Doubt, who uses wishes and nature to grow himself a real chance at love.
The film has already enjoyed success on the festival circuit. Last month, it won ‘Best Screenplay’ at the American Film Awards and also made the finals at Austin Film Festival.
"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."
"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "
"Since joining BHBPA we have found it to be a dynamic and vibrant members’ organisation, with excellent, regular and informative meetings.
Peter Liddell does a first class job in ensuring that members’ interests are aired and addressed.
"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
