News: Welcome Oldfield Smith

Posted on 7th June 2018

We have a new member in Oldfield Smith, a firm of Chartered Surveyors.

Oldfield Smith & Co is a fully independent professional practice of Chartered Surveyors, regulated by RICS and specialising in commercial property.  We are also an RICS approved training firm and members of the Disability Confident scheme, actively welcoming the opportunity to support and develop the next generation of property professionals.

Our staff are all highly qualified and have an excellent knowledge of the local property market. Equally importantly, they have a complete commitment to providing the highest levels of service and will take the time needed to listen to your requirements and ensure we meet these fully.

Our ethos underpins everything we do and defines the distinctive nature of the service we provide at Oldfield Smith & Co.  We combine the traditional values of Professionalism, honesty, respect and integrity with a modern, ethical approach and personal service.  We use a full range of the latest technology and software to support these aims and to allow us to operate as efficiently as possible.

The company is jointly owned by Richard Oldfield and Bernard Smith, who between them have over 60 years of experience in industry. Both have successfully run their own businesses in the past, so have an intimate knowledge of the challenges faced by companies trying to grow and develop.

Richard and Bernard are both passionate about providing the very best advice in simple, easy to understand terms. Since Oldfield Smith & Co was formed in 2013, the practice has developed a solid and enviable reputation for providing high quality advice and support across a wide variety of commercial property transactions and has represented a number of national and international businesses.  However, we pride ourselves on being able to bring those same services within the reach of the small business, sole trader, charities and new start organisations.

We have offices in Uckfield and Gatwick, operating predominantly in the South East of England, Gatwick Diamond, London and the West Midlands, but can offer nationwide coverage for larger projects and professional services.

Testimonials

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."

"The BHBPA is an energetic and vocal organisation that connects and empowers and informs the local business community acting as an effective conduit to local authority and other organisations. We are proud to be part of that community and the association."

Nick Broom, Managing Director
(PVL UK Ltd)

""BHBPA is a really well organised and run group, great for networking and benefitting from knowledgeable local speakers with real business insight. Peter brings enthusiasm and humour which helps drive the association forward. I am glad to be part of it.""

Dave Farmer, German Translator
(Dave Farmer & Co)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)
