Dear Peter – I am asking for your help!
Leading choir Coro Nuovo are performing at St Andrew’s Church, Burgess Hill on 14th July 2018. An American themed evening celebrating music from that rich heritage both Early and Musical Theatre. The choir is led by international tenor, Andrew Rees who himself has just got back from Carnegie Hall singing with Jonas Kaufman. We are so lucky to have international performers living in Sussex who are prepared to give time to local activities.
In addition to the choral part of the concert we also have £1,000 prize money (bursary) to give away to a Sussex Young Musician. This will be the 3rd year we have been running the event and the first time in Burgess Hill. We have 4 stunning young musicians both voice and instrument all with a Sussex connection who will be competing on that evening in front of a panel of judges.
We are looking for sponsorship! We can do this via an advertisement in the concert programme with £50 for a half size A5 or £100 for a full A5. This is enormously helpful to us – we do get the programmes printed by P&S Gallagher who are kind enough to sponsor that element. We are completely non for profit and rely on sponsorship and donation. It means we can help these young musicians with funding and travel costs getting to the competition etc. With music and creative arts being marginalised in schools with funding this is one way of ensuring that music is part of our community and to be enjoyed by young and old and ensuring it’s importance for our culture.
Please help by advertising this and asking if any local business might be able to help with a programme advertisement.

"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."
"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "
"Since joining BHBPA we have found it to be a dynamic and vibrant members’ organisation, with excellent, regular and informative meetings.
Peter Liddell does a first class job in ensuring that members’ interests are aired and addressed.
"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
