PDP Services’ Tom Fairbrother to do 160ft O2 Bungee Jump

PDP Services’ Technical Director, Tom Fairbrother, will be braving the grand heights of the famous O2 in Greenwich to do a 160ft bungee jump.

Tom won’t be doing this just for the thrill – he’s hoping to raise funds for The Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation (ECHO).

ECHO is a charity very close Tom’s heart. Tom and Rebecca’s son Lewis was born in 2014 with an undiagnosed heart defect and had to undergo unexpected complex heart surgery at just five months old. Without the surgery and the support from the Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation he wouldn’t be the happy and outgoing child he is today.

Tom Fairbrother said: ‘ECHO supports families in so many ways; whether you are expecting a baby with a heart defect, you have a child who has got to undergo major heart surgery, you are a teenager who has had heart surgery as a child or whether you are a family who has lost a child – they are there for you every step of the way.’

The money raised by Tom’s bungee jump will go towards the different channels ECHO uses to help support the children and families, including a Cardiac Family Support Service, items of necessary equipment needed for the hospital or home that cannot be funded by the NHS, parent-to-parent support, online forum, antenatal classes, music therapist, comfort packs, toys and crafts, emergency accommodation, bereavement support and events.

Testimonials

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)

"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""

Peter Hook, Manager
(Computer Systems Engineers)

"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."

The Hon Nicholas Soames MP

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
