Sussex IFA Mike Oliver Associates has been named as a major sponsor for next month’s Great Haywards Heath Bike Ride (HHBR).
The firm, which was recently announced as a key sponsor for the Haywards Heath Lions Club Swimarathon in April, will lend its support to the event for the eighth year running, having done so since the bike ride began in 2011.
Once again, participants will cycle one of four routes across Mid Sussex before crossing the finish line at The Broadway, where they will be greeted with a variety of entertainment and a medal.
Organisers hope the event will build on last year’s record total, which amounted to more than £14,000 for three chosen charities: Age UK West Sussex, Sussex Oakleaf and Sussex Autism Support.
This year’s event will raise funds for the Air Ambulance Service and Kangaroos, a local disability support charity based in Haywards Heath.
Principal Mike Oliver said: “We are thrilled to be supporting the Haywards Heath Bike Ride once again. I truly believe that it is one of the most rewarding charity events in the Mid Sussex area. There’s always a great sense of camaraderie among competitors as well as a great ambience.
“Cycling has always been a great passion of mine and this is a fantastic opportunity to combine one of my favourite hobbies with fundraising for two incredibly worthy causes. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone take part on the day.”
The Great Haywards Heath Bike Ride takes place on Sunday 15 April from 8AM at Orange Square. There’s also a free Trike Ride for those children who can’t ride and entertainment all day from 11.00 am. To find out more, visit: www.haywardsheathlive.org.uk/hh-bike-ride/
"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.
It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"
"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
"As MP for Mid Sussex I believe passionately in the importance of a vibrant local business community in order to create and sustain fantastic opportunities that enable people to meet their responsibilities, prosper and fulfil their potential. I am committed to collaborating with BHBPA and others to be an effective collective voice for Burgess Hill."
"“Sutton Winson have been members of the BHBPA for around 7 years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch with Burgess Hill businesses and to meet with likeminded people. It’s not just another “networking” group, as it tackles the real issues and gets things done”"
