News: Careers Networking Event at BHA

Posted on 11th January 2018

Request for volunteers for Speed Networking at The Burgess Hill Academy. See Flyer here

Once again in order to assist our Year 9 students in choosing their GCSE options, the Academy will be hosting a Speed Networking Event on Thursday 8th March 2018. The event will start with a 30 minute networking breakfast at 8.15am, followed by two one hour sessions 8.50am to 9.50am and 9.50am to 10.50am.

Students will be in groups of 3/4 and they will spend 5 minutes asking questions of the volunteers followed by 5 minutes finding out about the volunteers’ job. During each hour long session, I would anticipate that all volunteers will talk to at least 5 groups of students.

I am hoping that you or someone else in your organisation will be able to spare some time to come along and assist in this event. Students really do find it very useful to find out about different jobs and the qualifications needed to get there. If you are able to assist, please contact me at ldorgan@tbha.org.uk.

Many thanks

Testimonials

"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."

Wendy Agate, Community Fund Raising Manager
