This is the Middy report on the sexual assault mentioned in the newsletter last week:-
Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a teenager girl in a Burgess Hill park.
They have released an e-fit image of the suspect.
The girl was walking through Pepper Park near Albert Drive at around 5.30pm to 6pm on Thursday, November 23.
Police said she was grabbed from behind by a man who then sexually assaulted her by touching.
The girl managed to break free from her assailant and ran off, added police.
Police said the suspect is described as white, around 6ft, and of large build.
He was dressed in black and was wearing an over-sized coat over a hooded top, with the hood raised.
Detective Constable Jodie Palmer, investigating, said: “This appears to have been an isolated incident and there have been no similar reports. However, it left the victim considerably distressed and we need to identify the offender as soon as possible.”
Anyone in the area at the time who may have seen what happened or noticed a man answering the suspect’s description is asked to contact police online or by phoning 101, quoting serial 1297 of 23/11. Alternatively they can visit the Crimestoppers website or contact the independent charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.

"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.
It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"
"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "
"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."
"“Sutton Winson have been members of the BHBPA for around 7 years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch with Burgess Hill businesses and to meet with likeminded people. It’s not just another “networking” group, as it tackles the real issues and gets things done”"
