AGE UK West Sussex plans to offer multiple venues throughout the month at much reduced hours. Imagine how confusing this will be – particularly for the elderly in their later years. We need to retain a day centre in Burgess Hill for continuity of care, feeling of belonging, familiar faces in the same place every day of the week which has been specially altered to cater for the elderly.
The community has come together with the support of Burgess Hill Town Council and set up Young at Heart Community Partnership with the aim of re-opening the centre in April 2018. We are actively applying for charitable status and seeking grants not only from MSDC and WSCC but also third parties such as Sussex Community Fund, Hall and Woodhouse Community Chest, Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust, Waitrose, Tesco and many, many more.
Since this is a community project, and with the time of year, we would like to invite the members of the Burgess Hill Business Parks Association to join H & D Air Conditioning and pledge to donate to Young at Heart – Community Partnership rather than send Christmas cards to their clients. In essence, saving staff time, saving the environment and supporting a local cause they may all take benefit from in years to come.
If you wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to get in touch. The central email address in email@example.com or call me on 07790 157772.
Young at Heart – Community Partnership
"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."
"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""
"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."
"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
