Gatwick Diamond Meet the Buyers 2017

18th October 2017

The Arora Hotel, Crawley

We are contacting you to let you know about the Gatwick Diamond Meet the Buyers programme which is sponsored by Gatwick Airport, the Gatwick Diamond Initiative and Crawley Borough Council.

This is a unique event that connects Suppliers to Buyers across the Gatwick Diamond and wider area. Now in its 17th year, Gatwick Diamond Meet the Buyers has a proven track record of generating new business.

As a Supplier, you will have the opportunity to meet with Buyers that have money to spend on products and services.

For 2017 we have introduced a set of Buyer Zones to make sure that we get full interaction for both Suppliers and Buyers.  These are:

  • Construction & Infrastructure: Buyers include Raven Housing, Thakeham Homes, Marco Airport Facilities & Kier
  • Public Sector & Utilities: Buyers include The Home Office, Gatwick Express, Southern Water and Local Authorities
  • Business Services: Buyers include B&CE & Central Sussex College
  • Manufacturing & Innovation: Buyers include Elekta & Varian
  • International: Department for International Trade and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce

So far Buyers have told us they are looking to secure a very wide range of services from Advertising to Waste Management, from Brickwork to Welding.

Here’s just a small example of one Buyer’s needs:

  • Recruitment Services – to £1m
  • Staff Uniforms – to £200,000
  • Cleaning Materials – to £30,000
  • Vehicle Parts – to £100,000

Testimonials

""BHBPA is a really well organised and run group, great for networking and benefitting from knowledgeable local speakers with real business insight. Peter brings enthusiasm and humour which helps drive the association forward. I am glad to be part of it.""

Dave Farmer, German Translator
(Dave Farmer & Co)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)

"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "

Angela Gill, Managing Director
(Bio Productions Ltd)

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
