News: Open Day for Apprentices at HPC

Posted on 3rd July 2017

A Career in Industry is back!

HPC has updated and restructured its Apprenticeship Scheme and is planning on taking 4 new Apprentices this September.

In today’s highly competitive work place a University degree is not always the best route to a challenging, fulfilling and rewarding career. Our newly restructured Craft Apprenticeship Scheme at HPC provides you with the skills and work experience to follow an exciting career in the world of Engineering.

HPC is holding an Open Day on 25 July 2017 from 9:00am to 12 noon at HPC plc, Victoria Gardens, Burgess Hill, RH15 9RQ.  It is open to any interested students to come to HPC Engineering for a presentation and tour of the machine shop.  This is also advertised on the careers page of our website.  All that is necessary to attend is an email to  jobs@hpcplc.co.uk to register their interest in attending. for anyone interested in applying for an Apprenticeship to come and see what we do in Precision Engineering.
The goal of our apprenticeship scheme is to provide a learning environment which blends real life practical work experience with the all-important academic training to equip you for work in the 21st century.

Our company is based in Burgess Hill and is offering 2 levels of apprenticeship…

 A 2 year Intermediate Apprenticeship follows a 2 year City and Guilds foundation course alongside an NVQ Level 2 qualification.

 An Advanced Apprenticeship follows on for a further 2 years leading to a BTec Level 3 and an NVQ Level 3 qualification.

Apprentices at HPC are not left with hefty study loans, instead we enable you to earn while you learn and hopefully graduate from the scheme with a full time job in our company.
We are not necessarily looking for candidates who academically excel, but we need practical individuals who are committed team players with a willingness to learn.
Being an apprentice requires hard work and discipline to succeed, balancing academic studies hand in hand with the daily demands of the job. As an apprentice at HPC you will learn how to deal with the daily pressure of working life, learning new skills and the importance of job safety giving you a well-rounded excellent foundation to a successful career.

HPC has a proud reputation of providing lifetime careers, and its continued success is due to the quality and dedication of its people….why not join a winning team?
HPC Precision Engineering require a number of Apprentices to join in September 2017.

Testimonials

"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.

It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"

Susan Fleet, Managing Director
(Lea Graham Associates)

"As MP for Mid Sussex I believe passionately in the importance of a vibrant local business community in order to create and sustain fantastic opportunities that enable people to meet their responsibilities, prosper and fulfil their potential. I am committed to collaborating with BHBPA and others to be an effective collective voice for Burgess Hill."

Mims Davies MP, Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex

"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."

Wendy Agate, Community Fund Raising Manager
(St Peter & St James Hospice)

"The BHBPA is a fantastic hub for our business community to get together and catch up, discuss important local issues and connect new and interesting enterprises."
