News: Event at Q Leisure May 23rd

Posted on 4th May 2017

A new and different event has been added to the BHBPA calendar. On May 23rd, the guys at QLeisure have offered us a slot at 4pm to try our hands at two rather different sports, ie Assault Rifles and Axe Throwing.  Yes, you did read that right, and perhaps, like me, you thought it was a joke, but if you go onto their website you will find details of this sport …

“we’ll take you through step by step until you are throwing with confidence with two or even three rotations. You will progress through a number of different targets, changing each time in shape, size and distance. The further you throw the axe through the air gets more adrenaline pumping and before you know it the atmosphere is on fire as tomahawks are slamming into the wooden bullseye”

There will also be snacks and drinks, of course, so if you wish to come along on May 23rd, please email me.  peter.liddell@bhbpa.co.uk

Our thanks to QLeisure for their generosity.

Testimonials

"“Sutton Winson have been members of the BHBPA for around 7 years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch with Burgess Hill businesses and to meet with likeminded people. It’s not just another “networking” group, as it tackles the real issues and gets things done”"

Bruce Millington, Manager
(Sutton Winson Ltd)

"The BHBPA is an energetic and vocal organisation that connects and empowers and informs the local business community acting as an effective conduit to local authority and other organisations. We are proud to be part of that community and the association."

Nick Broom, Managing Director
(PVL UK Ltd)

""BHBPA is a really well organised and run group, great for networking and benefitting from knowledgeable local speakers with real business insight. Peter brings enthusiasm and humour which helps drive the association forward. I am glad to be part of it.""

Dave Farmer, German Translator
(Dave Farmer & Co)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)
