News: PA’s at The Lingfield Marriot

Posted on 29th March 2017

Mid Sussex PAs, EAs, VAs & Offices Managers are pleased to announce that our next meeting will take place at the wonderful Lingfield Racecourse Marriott Hotel on Monday 8th May from 5.30pm.  These meetings are free to attend.  You can reserve your place here:  https://goo.gl/Bhfr8u

The hotel has a convenient location, just 15 minutes from Haywards Heath, and just 10 miles from Gatwick Airport.  Experience the UK’s first racecourse, hotel, spa and golf club, with its excellent amenities and gorgeous views of the West Sussex countryside.  We have also kindly been allowed access to their Spa facilities until 9pm after our event, so don’t forget to bring your swimming costumes!

There will be tea & coffees on arrival from 5.30pm with canapés and Ridgeview sparkling wine after our Speaker Jon Lavelle, who is a seasoned trainer and speaker and recently spoke at the Hickstead Hotel for the BHBPA.  He works both in the UK and internationally with a wide range of companies and industries and with people at all levels.  He is the author of several books in the areas of influence, persuasion, psychology, negotiation and in dealing with difficult people.  In fact the subject of his session with us will be about…

“How to deal with frustrating situations, awkward, exasperating or manipulative people… and keep smiling!”

Jon’s facilitation style is dynamic, inspirational, collaborative, fun and as far as you can get from a ‘lecture’.  So, be prepared to be engaged, to be challenged, to get involved in discussions and activities, and to leave the evening with your head buzzing with ideas!  He will be bringing his book along with him “Water off a Duck’s Back” which you can purchase at a discounted price on the night.

We do hope you can join us for what we hope will be another friendly, successful and valuable local Networking Group meeting where PAs, EAs, VAs & Office Managers can meet with other like-minded professionals in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.  This is an excellent way to strengthen existing relationships, make new contacts and create business opportunities.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Testimonials

""BHBPA is a really well organised and run group, great for networking and benefitting from knowledgeable local speakers with real business insight. Peter brings enthusiasm and humour which helps drive the association forward. I am glad to be part of it.""

(Dave Farmer & Co)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
