News: Choice of Venue for BHBiz

Posted on 21st March 2017

At the end of last year we were delighted to announce that the BHBiz Awards would be held at the Amex Stadium in Brighton. We are aware that some members were, like us,  disappointed initially that we were not able to find a suitable venue in Mid Sussex,  and we thought it might  be helpful to explain the rationale behind our decision.

As we started planning the awards, we searched for a venue that met all our criteria – prestige, easy accessibility, good parking facilities and large enough to accommodate – and cater for – 250 people! After visiting many possible venues in Mid Sussex we soon realised that there was not a suitable one in the local area.

Brighton & Hove Albion are members of the BHBPA and the Mayo Wynne Baxter Suite met all our exacting requirements and budget. We’re very excited to host our inaugural awards there on 5 May – and we thank our many sponsors who have made this possible.

We have to date sold over 220 tickets, but they are still available,, so don’t delay – contact: esther.dawson@bhbpa.co.uk today!

Testimonials

"“Sutton Winson have been members of the BHBPA for around 7 years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch with Burgess Hill businesses and to meet with likeminded people. It’s not just another “networking” group, as it tackles the real issues and gets things done”"

Bruce Millington, Manager
(Sutton Winson Ltd)

"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""

Peter Hook, Manager
(Computer Systems Engineers)

"The BHBPA is an energetic and vocal organisation that connects and empowers and informs the local business community acting as an effective conduit to local authority and other organisations. We are proud to be part of that community and the association."

Nick Broom, Managing Director
(PVL UK Ltd)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)
