News: Charity Ball for Oscar’s Wish Foundation

Posted on 21st February 2017

I work with a local charity Oscar’s Wish Foundation.  I am helping to organise a ball for Oscar’s Wish Foundation and have attached a flyer with details of the ball. I was wondering if it is possible to send fellow members details of this along with details of how they can support the charity with the ball if they would like to do so as detailed below.

OWF is a local charity based in Buxted who support families who have suffered a bereavement before, during or shortly after birth. If you would like further information regarding the charity please look on their website: www.oscarswishfoundation.co.uk

Both Brighton and Haywards Heath hospitals have adopted their support program for their patients and families.

We are holding a fundraising ball at Buxted Park Hotel on 8th April 2017. There will be a lovely three course dinner followed by a live band.

We would love to see you at the ball if you would like tickets (or a table) please let me know.

Tickets are £60.00 each and tables can be 8 or 10 people (12 if you don’t mind being very friendly with your guests!)

We are also looking for local companies to sponsor various elements of The Ball and would be extremely grateful if you could help us with any of these.

Sponsor opportunities include:

Welcome drinks – £750.00

Wine on the table (two bottles of red and two bottles of white per table) – £1500.00

Balloons for raffle and decoration – £500.00

Photography on the night – £350.00

Printing of collateral for ball – £300.00

We are also looking for prizes for our Grand Raffle if you can donate something for this we would really appreciate it.

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards

Shirley Price

Testimonials

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "

Judi Arditi, Director
(Travail Employment Group)

"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."

Wendy Agate, Community Fund Raising Manager
(St Peter & St James Hospice)

"“Sutton Winson have been members of the BHBPA for around 7 years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch with Burgess Hill businesses and to meet with likeminded people. It’s not just another “networking” group, as it tackles the real issues and gets things done”"

Bruce Millington, Manager
(Sutton Winson Ltd)

"“I have belonged to this group since I started my own business, Lea Graham Associates, in 1986. The association has been through several incarnations since then, but its most recent one, BHBPA, is by far the best.

It’s much more than just a networking group, although it is supremely good at that too. BHBPA is inclusive and friendly and acts like a mutual-support society. The events are stimulating, worthwhile and often great fun and I believe most members share this opinion.”"

Susan Fleet, Managing Director
