We are looking for parent volunteers who can speak a foreign language. This would involve ideally one or two hours a week to help our French, German and Spanish year 11s practise their speaking, conversational and pronunciation skills.
The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and the successful applicant must provide satisfactory references and will be subject to clearance by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
If you can help, please contact Mr Verniol at the academy email@example.com
In a cold weekend of December, Mr Kirkby, Miss Elliott and Mr Verniol had the pleasure of taking a delightful group of German linguists, from years 9 to 11, to Cologne in Germany. In only 36 hours, they visited five Christmas markets and a small chocolate factory. The warm waffles and homemade Bratwurst helped them all to prompt their speaking in the language. A successful trip that surely will be repeated.
"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""
"The BHBPA is an energetic and vocal organisation that connects and empowers and informs the local business community acting as an effective conduit to local authority and other organisations. We are proud to be part of that community and the association."
"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
