HANDELSBANKEN BOLSTERS LOCAL TEAM TO MEET GROWING DEMAND
Handelsbanken Haywards Heath has appointed a new Corporate Banking Manager in response to increasing demand for its local relationship banking services.
David Hills joins the fast-growing relationship bank with over 18 years of banking experience. He will be involved in developing existing customer relationships as well as welcoming new customers to Handelsbanken’s bespoke approach to local banking.
A strong focus on long-term relationships and high levels of personal service has seen the bank rated top for customer satisfaction seven years running in an independent survey of British banks’ personal and business customers*. Branches are responsible for making all day-to-day banking decisions based solely on their customers’ requirements, free from product and lending targets or bonus incentives.
“I’ve worked for Handelsbanken for over 8 years and am delighted to join the Haywards Heath team. As experienced local bankers we have the power to make decisions that matter to our customers, swiftly and sensibly here in the branch. The bank provides customers with an extremely high level of service, and products structured to meet their individual needs.”
The branch, established in January 2016 and located in Perrymount Road, has developed a reputation for traditional banking, financial strength and high standards within the local business and professional services community.
Dave Barden, Branch Manager, added:
“I am very pleased to welcome David and his substantial experience to our team. His appointment means that we can continue to meet the growing needs of both existing and new customers in Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas whilst maintaining the high levels of service for which we are renowned.”
Originally from Sweden, Handelsbanken now has over 800 branches in more than 20 countries, and has been judged one of the world’s strongest banks by financial information provider Bloomberg**. At a time when strength and stability is of particular importance to customers, the bank enjoys the highest credit ratings of all the major UK-based banks. This reflects Handelsbanken’s strong financial position, long-term focus and prudent, consistent approach to banking through all economic conditions.

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
"Regular, well organised events, excellent updates and information by email along with a warm welcome from the Chair and Coordinator are just some of the positives at BHBPA."
"As the local hospice for the area, it’s great that we receive so much support from the BHBPA. Last year the members raised an amazing £2150 through activities such as Bake Off and the BHBiz Awards. Each well planned members meeting enables good networking opportunities and speakers that are relevant to the present climate and local issues. We are proud to be members of BHBPA."
"“Sutton Winson have been members of the BHBPA for around 7 years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch with Burgess Hill businesses and to meet with likeminded people. It’s not just another “networking” group, as it tackles the real issues and gets things done”"
