Youth cricket

Girls Under 13 – travelled to Horsham on Saturday in wet conditions to take on Ansty in the County Final having won their regional league. Katie Read top scored with 25 in Hill’s total of 91 but it was unfortunately not quite enough as Ansty won in the 18th over. Nonetheless a wonderful achievement by the girls who have made huge progress this season. You can read the full report here.

Presentation Evening Dinner and Dance – tickets are selling fast for the annual awards dinner, held on Saturday 15th October at Mid Sussex Golf Club, 7.30 pm. Tickets will cost £30 per person and will include a 3 course sit down meal followed by dancing to the Flaming Mojos. We expect the event to sell out and numbers are limited to around 90 people so book now to avoid disappointment. Please email burgesshillcc@gmail.com with the names of your party/family attending so that we can reserve your places.

As well as the adult awards we will be giving out on the evening the youth batsman and bowler of the year awards and the two U16 age group awards. We would therefore like to see as many youngsters and their parents as possible attending the evening. U16 and below tickets are priced at £20.

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
