Competence level required

  • We are looking for an experienced administrator wanting to gain training and qualification as a protection administrator within our Mortgage & Protection Department.
  • A good understanding of administration procedures.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to understand compliance procedures behind mortgage and protection processing.

Key areas of responsibility 

  • Making appointments, diary management
  • Telephone answering and meeting clients
  • Liaising with other company departments
  • New reviews
  • Updating reviews
  • Adhering to compliance procedures and company policy
  • New application processing
  • Accurately submitting on line applications to providers
  • Pipeline chasing, client, adviser and provider liaison
  • Seeing cases through to completion
  • File closure and filing

The applicant must be a proficient administrator, organised with good communication skills, be able to work happily within a team and under their own initiative, occasionally under pressure.

Previous experience of working in the mortgage and protection industry is an advantage for this role.

MOA full- time hours of business are: 9 am to 5.30 pm, 1 hour lunch, statutory holiday, part-time hours negotiable.

Mike Oliver Associates is a multi-award winning Financial Services firm who are looking for an General Office Administrator, ideally living within half an hour commute of Haywards Heath.

Working: Mon-Fri 9–5.30pm Full Time

In order to be successful for this role you need to be able to demonstrate the following in your application and at the interview:

  • High standard of numeracy and literacy skills
  • Methodical and accurate with a proven ability to focus on detail
  • Self-motivated with initiative and drive
  • IT literate, knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook necessary.
  • Team player, able to follow instructions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Time management with the ability to work in a pressurised environment or Ability to work independently and effectively, under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate well with people at all levels including using the telephone
  • Some experience with an office environment is desirable or commercial awareness desirable
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Work under general supervision

Qualifications Required:

  • In turn we provide you with an excellent opportunity to gain  recognised FS qualifications.
  • You must have at least 5 GCSE Grades (C or above) or equivalent, Maths and English is a must.

Administrator main duties include:

  • Screening incoming calls to the main switchboard, handling emails
  • General Office duties such as faxing, scanning, printing
  • Processing new business efficiently
  • Maintain services levels according to office procedure
  • Provide information and documentation within agreed timescales
  • Answering calls and dealing with enquiries from clients
  • Pipeline chasing
  • Filing and typing accurately
