News: Up for the Workplace Challenge?

Posted on 9th December 2015

Our latest Workplace Challenge is kicking off on the 1st of January 2016 and runs until the end of February 2016. In short, it’s a challenge to employers to get their employees active during those two months after Christmas. Research is increasingly showing that healthier workplaces are healthier (less absences) and more productive.

It’s completely free for companies and individuals to sign up and use. It’s an activity log where people gain points for the different physical activity they do.

Some of the companies in Sussex we’ve worked with have used it to challenge clients, neighbours in their office blocks and within different departments as a bit of fun. It can also just be used for individuals to track their own physical activity/fitness.

It’d be great to see some or all of the companies on Burgess Hill Business Park getting involved! It could be something fun to offer as part of your membership, especially as it’s completely free. There will also be some certificates and prizes for the most active businesses too! Feel free to sign up and have a look around – https://www.workplacechallenge.org.uk/activesussex/new-year-new-business

Best wishes,

Testimonials

"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "

Angela Gill, Managing Director
(Bio Productions Ltd)

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
(Burgess Hill Town Council)

"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."

"“Sutton Winson have been members of the BHBPA for around 7 years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch with Burgess Hill businesses and to meet with likeminded people. It’s not just another “networking” group, as it tackles the real issues and gets things done”"

Bruce Millington, Manager
(Sutton Winson Ltd)
