News: Celebrating Success at Steve Willis Training

Steve Willis Training Centres Celebrate Success! 

On Thursday 12th November 2015, Steve Willis Training Centres hosted an awards ceremony for their Apprenticeship Graduates. It was a full house at the Kings Centre in Burgess Hill, with over 150 people in attendance. The reason – to celebrate the success of the 50 Apprentices who graduated with an Apprenticeship (incorporating City & Guilds) in one of the following categories: Gas Level 3, Electrical Level 3 and Plumbing Level 2 and Plumbing Level 3.  Individual awards were also presented to acknowledge ‘Apprentice of the Year’ in each of the categories, those who had overcome various issues to complete their course and those who had achieved a particularly high standard.

The awards ceremony was attended by a host of high profile people including Anne Jones MBE, Mayor of Burgess Hill, Tony Parris, Chairman of Burgess Hill Youth and Christine Coxshaw, President of Burgess Hill District Lions, as well as senior officials from companies including Worcester Bosch and the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering.

Steve Willis, Managing Director commented, “I’m delighted with the success of these apprentices; it is only through their hard work and determination that they have succeeded. I wish them all well.” The ceremony closed with a short speech from Anne Jones MBE, she stressed the importance of apprenticeships to young people and went onto say “I am very proud of what Steve Willis Training Centres has achieved; it is pretty impressive. They are not just a business but a community providing apprenticeships that actually deliver for young people.” Anne Jones MBE finished by wishing all the students a prosperous and healthy future.

Steve Willis Training has over 15 years’ experience in providing quality training for both apprenticeships and short courses in Gas, Plumbing and Electrical.
