Aspire Sussex Ltd is the charity which has been running adult and community education in – and beyond – West Sussex since 2012. We wish to appoint new trustees to our Board and would be particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals who are passionate about education and who have a marketing, finance or education background.
Board and sub-committee meetings are usually held in Burgess Hill. The time commitment needed is around 50 hours per year, which includes attending about 12 meetings per year.
Please note that trustees are unpaid, although expenses – such as travel to meetings – are reimbursed.
Please contact Jacky Hilary at email@example.com if you are interested in applying to join us and would like to find out more. We would especially like to hear from suitably qualified women, or members of any of our local ethnic minority groups, as both are currently underrepresented on our Board.
"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "
"“We have been members of BHBPA from its inception, and seen the organisation steadily grow and expand into the dynamic entity it is today, bringing positive benefits to all its members.""
"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "
"The BHBPA is an energetic and vocal organisation that connects and empowers and informs the local business community acting as an effective conduit to local authority and other organisations. We are proud to be part of that community and the association."
