News: PVL Go-Karting

Posted on 28th September 2015

Help us put a BHBPA business at the top of the leaderboard next week.

(and see Wes dressed as SuperMario!)

Please support PVL’s crack team in their effort to win the GDB Charity challenge!

We are looking for a few more sponsors to help us beat our sponsorship target supporting some great local charities. Any amount, no matter how small, will be hugely appreciated.

You can sponsor us here:

In return, our team of SuperMario lookalikes* will drive a Go-Kart the equivalent of Crawley to Le Mans, in 12 hours.

If we exceed our target, our own tame “Mario”, Wes Earp, will wear his Super Mario outfit at one of the next BHBPA events.**

The event:

PVL’s six drivers will participate in the Gatwick Diamond Business Association (GDB) Charity 12hr Go -Kart Challenge on 1st October. Each team will aim to travel in excess of 540km; the equivalent distance from Manor Royal to Le Mans, in Go-Karts, raising funds to be shared amongst these local Sussex charities:
Sussex & Surrey Air Ambulance,

NSPCC, St Catherine’s Hospice, Chestnut Tree House, Sussex Community Foundation, Golden Lion Childrens Trust, CCVS, CHAMS Home Start, The Olive Tree, Rockinghorse, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Young Enterprise, Young Epilepsy West Sussex Mediation Services

About PVL:

We are the largest supplier of reflective safety markings to the UK emergency services, and design, manufacture and install branding and markings for commercial fleets of all sizes throughout the UK and beyond, from our base on the Victoria Business Park.

Preview and ArtDSigns are part of our group through which we continue to provide a full range of high quality web and offline marketing services as well signage, graphic and vehicle markings working with clients locally.

You can follow progress of our challenge on our Facebook page, and sponsor us at our justgiving page at

*Actually, none of our team even has a moustache, let alone blue dungarees or an Italian accent, so they really don’t look or sound like Mario. Sorry.

**The outfit does not include Go-Kart, for clarification!

I hope that you are able to support us and thank you for reading this.

Regards – Nick Broom, Managing Director, PVL UK Ltd

"If Carlsberg did networking they would do it the BHBPA way. Each event is packed with great ideas, thought provoking presentations and fun. As a small business we feel supported and part of the community. We have built friendships and business relationships and there is always plenty of advice on hand to benefit us all so don’t hesitate to join whatever the nature of your business. "

Angela Gill, Managing Director
(Bio Productions Ltd)

"“I can’t speak highly enough of the BHBPA. As a small local business we feel very much part of a community and thoroughly enjoy the annual exhibition and meetings throughout the year. Over the years we have built fantastic working relationships with many BHBPA members and every meeting and event offers us opportunities to work with more. This is networking at its best! ” "

Judi Arditi, Director
(Travail Employment Group)

"I am delighted to have a long-standing relationship with the BHBPA. Since its foundation the Association has gone from strength to strength and there is no doubt that it has brought huge benefits to its members and the business community as a whole through the partnerships it has formed with the local authorities, Sussex Police and local organisations. It is paramount that Burgess Hill businesses have an effective collective voice."

The Hon Nicholas Soames MP

"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "

Steve Cridland, CEO
