Here's a letter from Steve Tilbury at MSDC ...after reading it please let me know if you would be interested in finding out what Sussex University could offer businesses.
"I have recently been in discussion with senior representatives at the University of Sussex as to how we can develop stronger links between them and the business community of Mid Sussex. They are very keen to do so, and to make known the wide range of services they can provide in the field of training and skills, research, job placements, business management and so on. They do so much more than the provision of three or four year degree courses, and have a variety of short, medium and long term programmes that they feel can bring real benefits to our businesses.
They have suggested the idea of a conference / seminar, possibly in June at Wakehurst Place, when they would explain the range of services they can provide for businesses, and explore ways of strengthening links with the Mid Sussex business community.
The event would be free and include networking as well as presentations. It would be open to all businesses in the District, but I am contacting you now to see if you think this might be of interest to the business community. Personally I think it would be immensely valuable, would open up potential real benefits for businesses and would strengthen our links with the university."
