Parking Changes
As foretold on these pages before, WSCC Highways Department are going to make changes to the parking regulations on the Victoria Business Park. The reasons for the changes, which involve a tightening of restrictions in some places, are to do with concerns about traffic congestion and safety.
Over the last few months I have encouraged you to a) let your employees see the proposed changes and b) send all concerns to me so that I could forward them to WSCC.
This morning I met again with Paul Mace of WSCC and he showed me the map including the changes, which you can see reproduced here.
It needs to be stressed that the blue lines, showing waiting restrictions, apply to one side of the road only. Parking will still be allowed on the other side.
Once again, I would encourage you to allow access to this map showing the changes and send all comments and concerns to me in the first instance. I will forward them to the man in charge.
From what he told me this morning it could be at least three months before the changes come into force. One hopes that it will not cause too many problems for employees and that it does enable traffic to move more freely.
