Inom Postcard Tip
Meetings dragging on?
There are many aspects of good meeting practice and one important point is to set an end time.
Meetings with no end time often go on and on, the important items are often left until later and people can ramble on. Setting an end time gives everyone a deadline and this tends to focus people on the important items. For this to work it is vital that you have an agenda and stick to the end time.
You only need to do this a couple of times before people get the message. If you keep your meetings short with tight deadlines, that you stick to, this has a massive impact on focusing people.
Quote of the Month: J K Galbraith (1908 - 2006. Economist)
"Meetings are indispensible when you don't want to do anything."
