Recent Successes

Burgess Hill Victoria Business Park

Improving services

By applying a united pressure on Royal Mail we secured a revision in delivery times to the benefit of businesses in the town. BHBPA will seek to work on behalf of members by lobbying where necessary.

Influential links

Because senior members of the district authority sit on our steering group, they can hear first hand our concerns and take matters back to the council for action in the interest of businesses. These are the people that ´make things happen´, and we have direct access to them.

Education co-ordination

Key figures from our local business and enterprise college take an active role in our work and sit on our steering group. In this way, we know their goals and they know ours. Because they are training the workforce and managers of the future, by working together we can shape the next generation of entrepreneurs and influence their education at the key stages.

Police liaison

Senior policeman Inspector Marcus Potter, is a steering group member - so our concerns are heard at the highest level and acted upon. We recently worked together to resolve issues concerning travellers on the town´s business parks who were impacting on local businesses.

Governmental impact

Our hard-working local MP, Hon Nicholas Soames, is a keen supporter of the Association and all that we do for the local business community. While we each have personal political opinions, he is a formidable force to have on side and this experienced and highly respected parliamentarian attends many of our meetings and events.

Keep in touch

Regular emails and a weekly news digest go out to all members to keep them informed on all BHPBA matters. We are shortly to undertake some high-profile public relations work to gain a wider media presence and highlight issues facing the area´s businesses.

Two-way links

Members use the Association to spread the word - concerns can be addressed quickly and efficiently through our ever-expanding network of members.

Voice of business

The BHBPA is asked more and more often for its opinion on local issues. We are seen as the voice of business in and around the town. As we become bigger, we become stronger, a louder voice speaking on behalf of our members. So don´t delay, join today!
