Sponsors
Burgess Hill Town Council
Burgess Hill Town Council is proud to be the founding sponsor of the Burgess Hill Business Parks Association. The links between the local authorities and business are vital and employment is a critical factor in the sustainable development of the town. By working in partnership in this way we enhance the "Team Burgess Hill" ethic.
Oakmeeds
Oakmeeds is recognised as a genuine comprehensive school, is seen as an essential part of the wider community and provides the use of facilities for many community groups. When deciding upon the specialism to apply for the College took into account the nature of Burgess Hill, the needs of the town and the involvement with local businesses and industry at the time. Hence the route of Business and Enterprise was followed. The Headteacher was fully involved in the formation of the BHBPA and saw the value of developing close links with the organisation. Consequently when specialist status was awarded the College agreed to help sponsor the BHBPA to forge closer education/business links.
As a Business and Education College since September 2005 Oakmeeds has a well developed Enterprise policy which influences all aspects of College development. Because of this the ethos of B and E within the College has gained significant momentum within increasing participation by students in enterprising events. As a result students are developing generic skills that can be transferred across the curriculum and attitudes to learning are improving. The college has won many awards over recent years including a Personal Finance Quality Mark, awarded as a result of curriculum development in ICT, Maths, Business Education and PSHE. As such we hope the College is preparing young people in the best possible way to become successful future employees.

The District Council is keen to support local businesses and their workforces in whatever way it can, and is pleased to be a founding supporter and sponsor of the BHBPA, which does so much for the benefit of the businesses in Burgess Hill.
