BP Co-ordinator
The Association funds the activities of a dedicated business parks coordinator on a part-time basis. This role has made the vital difference leading to real progress being made on many issues that affect the business parks including:
- responding to traveller incursions
- reinstatement of effective postal services
- re-branding from "industrial estate" to "business park"
- improved signage
- networking events and open meetings on relevant business topics.
The coordinator is a focal point for communication, information and security alerts which are distributed to members via a weekly email. The coordinator has also helped many current BHBPA members with problems specific to their individual business.
Biography
Peter Liddell is the Coordinator of the Burgess Hill Business Parks Association, a role which he has held since January 2007. Prior to this role, Peter was a teacher. He retired from Oakmeeds Community College, in December 2006, having taught Sociology and History there for 35 years. He is committed to promoting and developing the interests of the business parks through collective action.

- Co-ordinate and manage an issues driven business parks association
- Develop plans for business parks improvements
- Focal point for communication about business park issues
- Channel the "voice of Business" for Burgess Hill companies and the business community
- Establish/develop links with local authorities and other interest groups in the area.
- Facilitate networking between parties
- Establish/Develop links with local education
- Promote Burgess Hill businesses and education
- identify & develop sources of funding
