PVL are multi-award winners at The Gatwick Diamond Business Awards
PVL UK Ltd is delighted to announce that we won not just one but two awards at the 10th anniversary of the prestigious Gatwick Diamond Business Awards.
We were finalists in four categories, winning The Manufacturing Business of The Year and Supply Chain Excellence and runners up for International Business of The Year and Business of the Year.
It was a fantastic night for us and the team, walking away with two awards and being runners up in for two awards.
GDBA Winners of:
Manufacturing Business of the Year
The Gatwick Diamond is one of the strongest regional economies within the UK. It has key sector strengths in manufacturing, with companies that are thriving, innovating and competing locally and globally. The sector confronts many challenges, particularly within a rapidly changing and increasingly uncertain economy, but continues to remain competitive, sustainable and future-focused. These businesses are championed in the Manufacturing Business of the Year Award for bringing wealth-creating, job-generating success to the region.
Neil Gardner of asbLaw said: “PVL UK is a well-presented business with a high attention to detail evident throughout the company. They fully understand their customers’ needs and their products attract business from global markets, with increased export providing exciting growth opportunities.
PVL demonstrated excellent operational efficiency and continuous improvement in their manufacturing processes. Strong production control management is evident with the appointment of new staff and the implementation of new equipment across the manufacturing areas.
Innovation is also fully embraced with the development of new materials technology to differentiate and increase the capabilities of their vehicle products.”
Supply Chain Excellence
Professor Sue Baxter of Brighton University said “PVL UK Ltd demonstrated the importance of the company’s values and ethics and how these are mirrored with the partners that they work with.
“A lot of care and effort has gone into the application and supporting documents highlighting their movement within the export market and how the supply chain has developed to support this.
“They have an innovative approach to managing downstream risk in its supply chain, realising that UK emergency services, of which they have a 50% share of the market, has the potential to change quickly with other competitors coming into the market and limits to UK public spending. “They have therefore spread into a global market with selective partnerships in new markets, including UAE and Algeria.”
Nick Broom, CEO said “I am so proud of the PVL team and what we have been recognised for with these awards. I was satisfactorily delighted to make finalists in the four awards we entered, but to win outright in two has exceeded our hopes. We’ve used the awards entry, judging process and feedback as a mechanism to gain impartial feedback on the entire business from an external perspective and brought changes in where we’ve felt it would make us a better business to work for and with. We strive to be the best in not just the region, but our sector and around the world; these awards help confirm that we are moving in the right direction!”
""BHBPA is a really well organised and run group, great for networking and benefitting from knowledgeable local speakers with real business insight. Peter brings enthusiasm and humour which helps drive the association forward. I am glad to be part of it.""
"This association was started with a lot of effort from a few local businessmen and has proved to be a very powerful and useful tool for our business. The BHBPA has influence at the top level; when action is needed, the BHBPA gets it done. We are kept in touch with all that is happening on our doorstep and will often act because of what is published in the weekly emails / newsletters."
"The BHBPA is the most effective and dynamic business organisation I have ever worked with in over 30 years in Local Government. It has a very active and large membership whose points of view are taken seriously by all government structures. Peter Liddell does an excellent job in providing unique and enjoyable networking opportunities where members interact and discuss points of mutual interest. It provides a forum for businesses to discuss common issues, to share experiences and to play a powerful and meaningful role in the Burgess Hill community. The BHBPA provides important and credible support for all its members and ensures that their best interests are represented where necessary. "
"The BHBPA is an energetic and vocal organisation that connects and empowers and informs the local business community acting as an effective conduit to local authority and other organisations. We are proud to be part of that community and the association."
